Introduced in early September 2008, the LifeCam Show is a high end webcam from Microsoft aimed at professional/prosumer desktop and laptop users who are interested in only top quality audio and video quality - regardless of location.

Featuring a super thin design, quality wide angle lens and pan, tilt and zoom functionality, the 2 megapixel webcam which can take 8 megapixel still shots also includes a microphone with built in background noise and echo cancellation. Created specifically for use with other Microsoft products, the LifeCam Show includes a button used to immediately launch Windows Live Messenger's video call window that allows users to quickly initiate video conversations with online friends, family and co-workers. This doesn't mean it won't work with your program of choice however, Microsoft claims compatibility with Skype, Yahoo! Messenger and AOL Instant Messenger as well.
