The QuickCam Pro has been designed with an emphasis on video quality with the following features: 1) A Carl Zeiss lens, 2) RightLight 2 Technology that attempts to automatically adjust to varying light conditions, and 3) a high resolution 2 megapixel sensor for caputuring video up to 1600 x 1200. Regardless of specifications, the image quality is not that of 2 megapixel cameras.

Actual video throughput (resolution + fps) is the same as any average webcam.

Freezes on Skype and oovoo. No workaround or permanent fix known yet, at least to me.

#logitech_quickcam_pro_9000 On sale at Futureshop for $99 CAD ($30 off - sells for $99 USD). Going to pick up a couple today. From my research it seems that this is the best webcam at the $100 price point. The Lifecam VX-7000 doesn't cut it for image quality, functionality, and software interface.
