Logitech QuickCam Orbit AF
$130.00
Released October, 2007
The Pros:Easy to use software - upload to YouTube, send video in an e-mail, etc... Works with Windows Vista and XP as well. Quality video.
The Cons:Movement is jerky and causes motor noise to pick up (no noise canceling). Mounting is difficult - won't sit on the top of a flat panel monitor making good angles difficult to attain. Has the exact opposite problem as most webcams - cannot handle brightly lit rooms.
The Logitech QuickCam Orbit AF is a high-end PC webcam featuring an ultra-high resolution 2 megapixel sensor with Logitech's RightLight technology which intelligently produces clear images in dim and poorly lit areas.

The Carl Zeiss designed lens produces up to 8 megapixel still images and 1600x1200 high definition video. The webcam also features motorized tracking to always keep you in the middle of the picture as well as premium autofocus for crisp closeups. The QuickCam Orbit AF includes a built-in microphone with Logitech's RightSound technology which reduces echoing and background noise for clear conversations. It is meant to sit on a desktop and can be mounted on either the included base or 9" eye-level stand. It comes with Logitech's Video Effects and Video Masks software and a 2 year limited warranty. Although both have the feature the same sensors and Carl Zeiss optics, this model mainly differs from Logitech's QuickCam Vision Pro in overall design as well as by being designed for PCs as opposed to Macs like the Vision Pro.
